'08 Scion xB

The 2008 Scion xB is a modern little wagon (Scion calls it an "urban utility vehicle"). It is longer, wider and 600 pounds heavier than the previous model.

It is quiet, well-built and has lots of space. The Scion is also comfortable and inexpensive. The average age of the buyer for this vehicle is 30 years old, although it was originally geared to a much younger crowd.

There is more steel, more glass and has more rounded edges to it's look. The engine is a 2.4 liter, four cylinder engine which is larger and more powerful. Accessories that are available for the 2008 Scion xB include LED interior mood lights, DVD headrest televisions, a navigation system, as well as many other options.

Standard features include ABS, stability control, side and curtain-type airbags and a first aid kit (which all provide more safety).

The biggest change for 2008 is that the Scion xB has more power and gives a great ride.

Toyota has come up with a compact wagon that looks like a miniature delivery truck. The 2005 Scion xB is very popular with the younger crowd.

It comes with one body style. Standard on this vehicle are power windows, mirrors and locks, a tilt steering wheel, 60/40 split fold and removable rear seat, remote keyless entry and a six-speaker AM/FM/CD sound system. The seats are built to be more like chairs than car seats. It has a four cylinder engine.

A buyer can select from 40 plus accessories. Dealers are offering accessories such as an advanced audio system, wheels, body kits and mild performance modifications. The car can be made-to-order in about a week.

The 2005 Scion xB is quiet with little wind noise, no squeaks or rattles and has a roomy nice interior. There is more steel, more glass, new curtain airbags and a larger engine. All-in-all, you are getting a lot of car for not much money.

2008 Scion xB

When it comes to handling and the kind of ride it offers, the 2008 Scion xB is really second to none.

Larger than many of its predecessors, the 2008 xB has a larger 2.4 liter engine, modified piston skirts which are designed to decrease friction, better and freer breathing ports, and a much more aggressive grind. All of this means that the 2008 xB now comes with one hundred and fifty eight horsepower and can go from zero to sixty miles per hour in under eight seconds.

The 2008 Scion xB is also heavier than a lot of the previous models, and since it comes standard with a stability control system, its ride is much smoother than other models. The ride is heavy, sleek, and quiet, so there is little to no jostling. In addition, this model has a soft spring, so the ride is almost silent – though it also comes with a range of sound damping materials, which greatly reduce road noise and vibrations.

2005 Scion xB

Unlike other Scion models, such as the tC series, the 2005 Scion xB was never intended to act as or look like a sports car, and this is never more obvious than in the interior of the vehicle. The car seats are more like chairs, making for an extremely comfortable ride, but they are not so bulked up as to make entering in and exiting the car difficult.

The gauges and meters are placed in the center of the top of the dash rather than right in front of the driver, because this can cut down on a driver needing to take his or her eyes off the road in order to study the instrument panels. For such an affordable car, the interior of the 2005 xB actually seems more suited to a luxury car which costs far more.

The finish is beautiful, the interior is just as roomy as the vehicle’s exterior implies it will be, and the stereo is directional – that is, it plays straight to the passengers with the touch of a few buttons. The 2005 xB leads the way when it comes to space, whether it is space for passengers or transporting cargo.
